I do have a minimum charge of $150.00 for an event. Every job has some variant that should be accounted for such as time of day, week or holidays. Generally I prefer to charge for the job, that way you can be sure of what you are paying for. Event contracts and deposits are required.
How far will you travel?
I consider the St. Louis Metro area as the home area and you should not expect travel fees. When outside the metro St. Louis area there may be a charge for time and expense associated with travel. I am willing to travel to any appropriate venue or for a client that may request my services.
What Materials do you use?
Modern water-based face and body paints are made according to stringent guidelines, meaning these are non-toxic, usually non-allergenic, and can easily be washed away. These are either applied with hands, paint brush, and synthetic sponges or natural sea sponge, or alternatively with an airbrush. Bodypainting with fluorescent paintContrary to the popular myth perpetuated by the James Bond film Goldfinger, a person is not asphyxiated if their whole body is painted. Manufacturers of widely available professional body and face paint include: Kryolan, MAC-Pro, Mehron, Snazaroo, Wolfe Face Art & FX, Diamond FX, Grimas, Ben Nye and Fardel. The same precautions that apply to cosmetics should be observed. We only use approved, professional paints and materials!
How do i get the paint off my child's face??
The ease of paint removal is one of the reasons I choose professional paints for my work. Usually warm water on a soft cloth will take off most of the paint, and for darker colors, a high quality wet wipe will finish the job.
What is "Studio" Body Painting?
I offer the privacy of an exclusive "Studio" session which includes a digital photo shoot and a Photoshop edited final image. A predetermined design, based a mutual agreement, as to the painting and final scene desired. A typical session requires 4 to 6 hours to complete. Rates are quoted individually. A Photo Release Contract is required.
